Gay Bears And Other Labels
A bit controversial, I discuss
the various labels used in the gay community and consider whether some
are welcome and good, or are all of them restrictive and insulting?
Let's think about it.

Our Identity
Not sure if this was a good idea, but I purposely messed myself up a bit
so I could have some fun. This won't be a regular thing, fear not. But I
hope you get a laugh, or a nice memory from it. A more serious look at
Our Identity will be on the YouTube Channel for this podcast. The
Channel name is An Older Gay Guy Show.

♬Cause Breakin’ Up is Hard To Do ♬ - Part Two
My first 'buzzed' episode, as my husband Paco and I celebrated the first day of Summer out on our deck with some wine. LOL
In this episode, Part-Two of a Three-Part Series, I discuss an article about the most common relationship mistakes that gay guys make. These factors might be some of the reasons for break-ups that we have all experienced. I also request YOUR input for Part-Three of the Series that will be coming later in the Summer.

INTERVIEW - The Almost Transition
An Interview Show featuring one of my closest friends
who has had an extraordinary life. Kris shares interesting details of
his early days as he prepared for his transition into a woman. He tells
of surprising circumstances that led to a life-long quest for acceptance
and to find his place in the LGBTQ community. It's a fascinating
listen, and I hope you enjoy this first interview episode of An Older
Gay Guy Show.

Gay Health 3- The Fear of Colonoscopies
A discussion about the importance of screening for
colorectal cancer. If you are approaching age 50, it is
imperative you have this important procedure. I had been petrified
beyond belief about having a colonoscopy due to a previous test I had
done more than 20 years ago. I discuss the early procedure as well as my
personal experience with having a colonoscopy. I take you step-by-step
through what happened, and I think if you have fear of this test (like
so many do), please, please listen to this episode. It literally could
save your life. Thank you!

Gay Health 2- Neuropathy
A discussion about Neuropathy, a common problem that develops with
Diabetes, Advanced HIV, Lyme Disease, Shingles and many other ailments.
While there is no cure, we look at current treatments for pain relief
and management of the condition. Anyone over the age of 40 should listen
to this episode, as it is becoming more prevalent due to excessive body
weight in more and more adults.

Fear and Anxiety
As we age, it is not uncommon to have growing fear
and anxiety about the future. In many cases, these emotions are not only
related to health and finances but also to a sense of losing your
connection to the LGBTQ+ community. In this episode, I tell you a bit
more of my own history of fear and anxiety, and we look at an article
that gives us '5 Ways to Overcome Fear and Anxiety'.
